It Happened One Night (1934)
In this romantic comedy movie, renegade reporter Peter Warne (portrayed by Clark Gable) pursues young, spoiled heiress Ellie Andrews for a major story. They make an unusual deal: Peter offers to reunite Ellie with her husband in exchange for an exclusive story. During their travels, the two eventually fall in love.

Meet Me in St. Louis (1944)
This movie focuses on the cusp of the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. The Smith family consists of daughters, including second-oldest Esther (portrayed by Judy Garland) and youngest Tootie (portrayed by Margaret O'Brien). A year of life is highlighted by young love and childish fears, especially when Mr. Smith is offered a nice position in New York. That means the family will have to move out of their hometown and the St. Louis fair.

The Princess Bride (1987)
In this movie filled with fantasy and romance, a grandfather reads the "Princess Bride" novel to his sick grandson (portrayed by Fred Savage). The story revolves around a farm boy-turned-pirate named Westley and a princess named Buttercup who encounter numerous obstacles, enemies and friends in the quest for true love. Occasional pauses occur in the movie, especially when the grandson does not like the kissing parts.

Romeo + Juliet (1996)
This adaptation of one William Shakespeare's famous works of literature combines not only the dialogue of the original story, but also modern elements as well. Two young people (portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes) from two rivaling gangs secretly fall in love in Verona. Soon multiple events result in consequences for both families and the city.

Casablanca (1942)
"Casablanca" is about an ex-patriate named Rick Blaine (portrayed by Humphrey Bogart) who owns a nightclub in Casablanca, Morocco. During World War II, he discovers his former lover, Ilsa, and her husband Victor Laszlo. Rick struggles to decide whether or not he will help Ilsa and Victor escape the Nazis.

Titanic (1997)
In this romantic drama movie, an 84-year-old recounts her life as a young woman named Rose DeWitt Bukater (portrayed by Kate Winslet) in the ill-fated R.M.S. Titanic, including falling in love with Jack Dawson (portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio). The whole story goes from boarding until the sinking of Titanic.

Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)
In one of Audrey Hepburn's iconic movies where her appearance lights up the screen, the movie is about a young New York socialite named Holly Golightly (portrayed by Hepburn), who meets a young man (portrayed by George Peppard) when he moves into her apartment building. At the same time, Holly is trying to marry for money, but her past and unpredictable behavior threatens to get in the way.

The Bodyguard (1992)
Whitney Houston portrays a best-selling pop diva, Rachel Marron, whose life is in danger thanks to a barrage of threats from a stalker obsessed with her. So her manager hires former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer (portrayed by Kevin Costner) as her bodyguard. Soon, they find themselves falling for each other.

Corpse Bride (2005)
While this movie is more of a horror movie, while being kid-friendly at the same time, it does have a sense of romance that would be a great movie to watch for Valentine's Day. A shy groom named Victor Van Dort (portrayed by Johnny Depp) practices his wedding vows and he inadvertently awakens a corpse (portrayed by Helena Bonham Carter) with the assumption that he has married her.
