The history of Old Town Spring dates back to the early 1800s, even before Houston was founded. The city of Spring was previously known as "Camp Spring" because it functioned as a hub for railroad workers. In 1873, the "camp" was dropped since Spring became the city's official name at that time. By the early 1900s, which flourished with many railroad lines, a bank, an opera house and more.
Now, Old Town Spring is a turn-of-the-century village situated on the historic 19th-century railroad hub. In addition, there are over 100 local businesses, such as shopping and eating places.
